Castelbel was founded with an ambitious purpose: to share Portugal’s fragrances and traditions with the world. From the very beginning, artisanal craftsmanship has been at the heart of the brand, starting with its soaps, which are still carefully hand-wrapped today.
Over more than two decades, the portfolio has expanded to include diffusers, scented candles, hand creams, body lotions and other fragrant creations for the home and body, uniquely reinterpreting Portuguese culture through distinctive design.
With an international presence, Castelbel is recognised for its innovation, product diversity and ability to adapt to different markets, while always maintaining a strong identity and high standards of quality.
HERITAGE
Castelbel was founded by Aquiles Barros in 1999, in Castêlo da Maia, whose name inspired the brand itself: “Castel” refers to its place of origin, while “Bel” evokes beauty, reflecting the union of tradition, sophistication and craftsmanship.
Today, the company is part of the BR Investments Group, a Portuguese group with a diversified investment strategy and a long-term vision.
This marks a new chapter in the brand’s history, strengthening its solidity and ambition for sustainable growth, while preserving the values on which it was founded.
